Hey everyone,

Kim here.  Today I am sharing my first layout created with the Toolshed Kit. I don't have my new kit yet, so this layout was created from the previous Summer Concert kit. This is the masculine kit. It is filled with wonderful grungy papers from 7 Dots and 13 Arts. Plus tons of chipboard.

So here is my first layout:

I used lots of the chipboard and layered it all over, I left it natural. I loved the frame with the "You Rock" on it. It was perfect for this photo of my nephew. Those washi tape chippies are amazing. I could use tons more  of those.

I layered a few pieces of paper and tags behind the photo. I also added some Tim Holtz film strip tape to match the paper. The flowers are from my stash, some old petaloo. I added some chicken wire stamping and called it done.

Here are some close ups:

I am so excited to be working with this kit. It really pushes my creativity. I love making layouts with lots of flowers and girly colors, so working with a masculine kit will be fun.

Don't forget to come on back to the blog on Saturday, the new kits will be revealed. You will love them!

That's all I have for today.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hello again! Today I'm here to show you my next project with ISBG design team, using the Toolshed Kit.

I was greatly inspired by Nadia Cannizzo's process video.

Mixed media is about mixing different art mediums and, hopefully, loving the results. I am fairly new to the world of mixed media so my process is ...... not something you are going to want to see. LOL!!

More details on the photo and the inspiration for the title can be found on my personal blog.

The Toolshed mixed media kit is mixture of masculine colors including blue, yellow, a shimmery black and a rusty brown. I didn't use Lindy's magical shaker on this layout, instead opting to stick with black.

I did use my own stencils and modeling paste on this layout.
The title letters are also mine, by Making Memories.

The toolshed kit has a theme of "summer song" so it is full of music embellishments.
The gears are the perfect touch in keeping the page 'masculine'.

Thanks for stopping by today!!!!

Happy Thursday-almost-Friday scrappers! Today I have a Design Team project for the International Scrapbook Garden using the Toolshed: Summer Concert kit.

This is my second project using this kit.  If you remember my first project (see it here), you can see the finished looks are so different, even though all the supplies are from the same kit. I love that kind of versatility!

Every single thing on this layout is from the Toolshed kit

Here's a few behind the scenes pics of the process:

First time using Lindy's Magical Shakers. So fun!

Added a few more drops for added drama using Kaiser Mists.

Prepared the chipboard with some simple black paint and a brush of silver ink. This was an especially useful technique on chipboard with raised patterns, like these grungy chippies from Creative Embellishments, which are included with the bonus chipboard.
