Hi, guys, it's Laurie, and I am so excited to share with you my first layout using the new A Rustic Spring kit. I only used tools from the main kit on this layout, and there is so much to play with. Lovely papers from 49 & Market and Fab Scraps, beautiful Kaisercraft flowers, lots of chipboard and mixed media elements. You just have to check it out!

I used the 49 & Market Tattered Garden Tattered FlourishLettersCrackle, and Beauty papers on this layout, plus a lot of the 49 & Market Floral Mixology Pink Flamingo flowers.

For the background, I combined the Prima Micro Beads Grass with clear gesso (also from Prima) and used a feather stencil that came in a past ISBG kit to create a textured design.

I loved the pre-printed flowers on the patterned paper and how they gave me spaces to build flower clusters. I also used the Kaisercraft Paper Blooms Amethyst and the 49 & Market Vintage Shades Yellow flowers, plus a few of the Kaisercraft Lucky Dip Butterfly Wooden Shapes painted with either the Ingvid Bolme Chalk Ink Blossom Tree or green and purple misting sprays from past ISBG kits.

The chipboard frame around the photo is the Snip Art chipboard frame from the most recent Kisses and Snowflakes kit. It didn't fit into any of my layouts from last month, but it was perfect for this one!

I also did some splattering with the Shimmerz Spritz Plum Pudding, and that comes from the A Rustic Spring bonus mixed media kit. So that's the only A Rustic Spring product that isn't part of the main kit.

I really like how this one turned out. And for once, I actually used up a whole package of flowers on one layout! I'm getting better at using up my embellishments!

Thanks for looking!

Hello, scrappy friends!

Sandi here with you today sharing another DT project created with the January Garden Kit and bonus kits from International Scrapbook Garden Kisses and Snowflakes.

For this layout, I opted to go cold and wintry and decided to go with more of the gray, silvery tones of the Kit with just a wink of teal. When I look out the window of my craft room, all I see right now is gray.  While I'm anxious for Spring, there is beauty to be found in Winter's colors.

I did less mixed media on this project but still primed with clear gesso and then added streaks of the Glitter Snow. For color, I used white gesso and some of the teal Prima chalk edger. I prepared the Creative Embellishments chipboard pieces (Blizzard Word Set and Dripping Hearts Lace Border) with gesso and then painted them white. To make the title a little more chilly feeling, I used some white embossing powder from my stash.

Also from my stash, I've used some paper doilies and cheesecloth for layers.

The Snip Art chipboard Frame was also painted white and used as a layer, as was the Dripping Hearts Border. For more layers I used the Emphemera from Prima's Zella Teal collection.  A pretty silver flower was created with the singles in the Kit along with a brad from my stash.
In the background, you can see some of the stamping done with the KaiserCraft Clear Stamp.

More beautiful Prima flowers from Zella Teal along with a tiny vintage Prima flower.

I've tucked in more ephemera and used the wonderful Snowflake brads from the Main Kit. And although, you wouldn't look for butterflies this time of year, I've added one for color and texture.

Loved embossing this little guy and mounting him on a strip of ephemera and foam tape.

I've scattered some of the KaiserCraft Teal Pearls around and dabbed everything with a coat of white gesso. Lastly, some watered down gesso was splattered about.

If you don't have a Kisses and Snowflakes kit, I hope you'll try to grab one before they are gone.

Hello everyone !

This is my very first reveal as a DT Member for Garden Kits ! I am thrilled to be part of such an incredible Team !  I had so much fun playing with January Kit.  It is filled with beautiful products. See below what you can get in the kit.

Kisses and Snowflakes

I first chose the paper Northern Lights by 7DotsStudio.  I started off by applying Clear Gesso on all the surface to prep for Mediums.  I used the Nuvo Mousse (Lilac Lavender) with the Prima Stencil Vintage Emporium on the background. I used both stamp kits : Prima  (included) and in the Bonus kit  .  The Snip Art Frame, the Snow Title and Snowflake Chipboard are in the Chipboard Bonus kit.

Mediums used :
Prima Chalk (Island Lagoon, Attic Dust and Blossom Bud)
Shimmerz Spray (Grape Escape)
Prima Color Philosophy (Poison Love)
Glitter Snow

The kit also is filled with Embellishments like flowers, Ephemeras, Stickers, laces, Prills etc.
