Oh So Happy

49 and Market, The Toolshed KitTracie ShumanComment

Hello! I'm Vivian Lake and today I would like to share my 4th project with you using the newest toolshed kit, 'Colorburst'. This kit is full of ephemera perfect for those masculine layouts you've been putting off . . . hint hint!!! My previous pages have been heavy on mixed media, so I went with a different style of layering and stitching lots of the die cuts that come in the kit.

I did use word stamps from my stash, as well as stitching and thread.
But everything else is from the kit.

I liked making the layout look a little messy with loose thread here and there. I also like the "layered" stamp look achieved by mixing and matching small number and word stamps.

More stitching and layers!!

Sending Best Wishes

Toolshed Kit, Scrapbook Kits, Maja Design, Fairy Garden KitTracie ShumanComment

Oh my goodness, will winter ever end?  I am still loving snowflakes on the day after St. Valentine's Day.  I have this great "Sending Best Wishes" that I dearly love.  It came in a Downton Abbey set.  What better way to show  it off than to add it to a card with beautiful snowflakes.  I used two of the snowflakes from the Toolshed Kit bonus chipboard.  I painted them with two coats of white gesso, allowing them to dry between application, and once the gesso had dried I sprayed them with the Kaisercraft Kaiser Mists in Denim and let them dry.  The swirl below was created with a very old stencil that I have for swirls, using Shimmerz texturez in Tidy Widy, which was featured in the Toolshed Kit: the Spiders Web Mixed Media add on. I absolutely adore the Shimmerz line and the three media in the add on kit do not disappoint!

All of these beautiful papers are in the Toolshed Kit:  Winter Adventures Fairy Garden Bonus Paper. This paper is so versatile and beautifully coordinated you cannot go wrong!  I have to admit I am saving the Earth paper for something special.  I'll be back next week with another card.  You have absolutely got to see the papers I will be working with next week!

In the meantime, happy crafting!

Simple Moments

Hi everyone!  Debbie here with you today to share another project, a canvas this time that I created using the Garden Kit, Sunkissed.

I did a lot of fussy cutting with the beautiful Lemoncraft papers from the kit to create lots of layers.  On the background of the canvas I used two different stencils.  I added a very small amount of the Lindy's Stamp Gang Flat Fabio Spray Hibiscus Rose from the main kit to some paint first and covered the canvas.  I then used the same mixture with a flourish stencil.  Next I added a very small amount of the 13 Arts Turquoise paint from the Mixed Media Bonus Kit with some modeling paste and added some flowers.

Here are some close ups:

I hope I've inspired you today!  Head on over to the store to purchase your Sunkissed Kit.

My DT package arrived today, full of beautiful Autumn papers, flowers and embellishments.  Can't wait to create and share with you!

Thanks for stopping by!
