Hello All!

Lanette here, Today I'm back sharing a Halloween inspired layout that I created using this crazy amazing kit....

TheSpidersWeb2small.jpg

As you may know our current Toolshed kit is packed full of shockingly beautiful Halloween papers from two amazing paper companies: Authentique & Pion.  I chose the Pion papers for my layout.  I fell in love with these papers, I hope you can see why....

Additionally I used a couple of the super cute embellishments from the embellishment add on kit......

Heck I even used a bit of the Mixed Media add on kit!

As you can see these kits are packed full of some amazing goodies!! I really had fun creating with this kit!

Here are a couple close ups of my layout.  I hope you enjoy them! :)

Here you can see that I added both of the Lindys Sprays to nearly every sheet of paper I used.

A Strange Visitor

I have been patiently waiting to showcase the Martha Stewart elements.  See the cat?  Later you won't!  For this card I used a blue card base that has a kraft interior.  The fabulous papers are from the ISBG Tool Shed Spider's Web Kit.  I have been having so much fun distressing these papers with my small scissors.  This card uses only kit items and a small corner punch, an edge punch of your choice and silver pearls from my stash.  I am absolutely in love with the laces that came in the kit, in both black and white.  And the charms are also super cute.  In fact, I considered holding back a pair and making some spooky Halloween earrings (I may still).

I did my best to photograph the super cool Martha Stewart images.  The image above shows the black cat (just one of several images in the kit).  Now take a peek at this photo:

Isn't that the coolest thing!  Spooky, right?!?

Happy to show you this card and the fantastic element from the kit.  Be sure to check out the rest of the blog and the store for more great ideas!

Halloween Home Decor

Hello there! I'm Vivian Lake and today I have a new project using the Spider's Web kit.

I bought a wooden plaque from Michael's for this project. If I were to make a card like this, I just know I would never be giving it away. So, I made a plaque as home decor piece instead.

I'm beginning to think that mixed media was "invented" around Halloween.  What other time of year can you bring so many wonderful techniques and array of colors together?

VivianSpidersWeb3a.jpg

Call me sinister and creepy . . . but I just love that skull!

VivianSpidersWeb3b.jpg

The twine is from my own stash and the leaves are Spellbinders' die cuts, with Tidy Widy (mixed media kit) scattered around them.  I layered a tree, flower, leaves, twine and phrases.

I did use my own stencil to create the textured effect on the background.
The tree is covered in the Shimmerz Texturez Tidy Widy as the bottom layer.

Yep, those are bones tucked in behind the flower!
