Bloom Where You Are Planted

Hi, guys, it's Laurie! I'm still creating with my Rustic Spring kit from The International Scrapbook Garden. I kept the 49 and Market flowers pink and red on this layout featuring some photos of my daughter from last year.

I used a 13@rts paper as the background and then created a grid using Fab ScrapsBo Bunny, and 49 and Market papers from the kit. The grid design was inspired by a National Scrapbook Day challenge. How many of you participated in challenges that day or at least got a lot of scrapping done?

I used some of the Creative EmbellishmentsKaisercraft, and 49 and Market chipboard that came in the kit, and I either embossed it with the Imagine Ink Forest Embossing Powder, sprayed it with the Kaisercraft Blackberry spray, stamped it with some Ingvild Bolme chalk ink (one color came from an older ISBG kit), or painted it with the Shimmerz Inklingz Coral Reef.

This came together very easily, and I had fun layering and clustering all of the embellishments. I used my hot glue gun to adhere the embellishments to the page for added strength.

It took a little longer to complete this layout, only because I had to wait for the chipboard to dry before putting it on the page, but I think the extra effort was well worth it.

The Rustic Spring kit is still available to purchase in the shop, so check it out!

Thanks for looking!

Easter Bunny

It's Laurie again, and I'm back with another layout using the A Rustic Spring kit! I almost veered away from the traditional spring theme, but I had this extra photo of my daughter with the Easter bunny, and I really wanted to use the Prima Shabby Chic Treasures Rabbits on a layout about it, so that's what I ended up doing.

I'm also rather excited about this one because I broke out my heat tool to use with the Blue Fern Studios Imagine Ink Embossing Powder Forest on the Creative Embellishments Archway and chipboard words.

The papers on this one are 49 and Market Tattered PlaygroundFab Scraps Love Grows Here, and Bo Bunny Cottontail Festive and Hippity Hop. All four collections played so nicely together!

And I did a big 'ole mixture of flowers in my embellishment clusters using the 49 and Market Blossom Blends Bluebell49 and Market Shimmer and Shine Blush Jardin Secret (my faves!), and Prima Flowers Relics & Artifacts Blushing Bouquet.

And it wouldn't be a layout of mine lately without a little bit of misting splatter. For this one, I used the Shimmerz Spritz Plum Pudding. It splattered well, but the splatters were small, so you can't really tell unless you're looking at the layout up close.

There's more to come from this collection, and I'm having fun playing around and experimenting! While you're staying tuned, don't forget to visit The International Scrapbook Garden store and purchase A Rustic Spring kit of your own!

Thanks for looking!

March/April Kit Reveals

The Toolshed Kit, The Garden Kit, 49 and Market, 7 Dots, 13@rts, FabScrapsTracie ShumanComment

Hi everyone, It's reveal day!  I am so excited to show you our next two kits.  First up is the Garden Kit: A Rustic Spring featuring new paper lines from Fab Scraps and 49 and Market.

This kit is filled with lots of flowers perfect for springtime, wooden butterflies, Fab Scraps stickers, a few Easter elements as well with chicks and bunnies from Prima, and more!

The Bonus Paper kit includes more Fab Scraps and 49 and Market as well as 13 Arts papers, and a few extra coordinating flowers.  And if you want the ability to use both sides of the paper, we also have a Double It! kit which includes a second set of all papers in the main and bonus kits.

The Bonus Embellishment kit is packed with more spring-themed additions including some Easter cut-outs from Bo Bunny's new Cottontail line, Prima butterflies and glitter, and more!

And because you can never have enough flowers, especially in the spring, there's also a Bonus Flower kit full of beautiful blooms from 49 and Market.

Next is the thoughtfully coordinated Mixed Media kit to add more pop and interest to your layouts.  This kit includes some beautiful colors from Shimmerz, Prima, Kaisercraft, and Blue Fern Studios.
A must-have for any serious scrapbooker!

The Bonus Chipboard is one of my favorites.  If you're like me, you can't ever have too much chipboard.  This month's kit includes pretty garden elements and frames, and a couple of Easter themed options too.

And if you enjoy making cards and mini projects the Fairy Garden Bonus kit is for you!  This kit includes 6X6 and 8X8 papers from the main kit and bonus kits to create other projects or add to your layouts.

Next up is the March/April Toolshed Kit: Colorburst featuring new paper lines from 7 Dots and 49 and Market.  This kit is packed with color but also has more neutral options, so it can be quite versatile.

The Toolshed kit traditionally does not include flowers in the main kit, as it is geared for more masculine layouts.  However, with all the color options in this kit, I couldn't resist adding a few.  And as usual, you can always find more in the Bonus Embellishment kit below.  Also included are some great coordinating die cuts from Kaisercraft, Tags and die cuts from 7 Dots, an adhesive tin tile from 7 Gypsies, a TCW Textures stencil designed by Gabrielle Pollacco, and more!

The Toolshed kit also has a Bonus Paper kit with more paper from 49 and Market and some coordinating paper from Kaisercraft, if you want a little break from all that color!  And if you want the ability to use both sides of the paper, we also have a Double It! kit which includes a second set of all papers in the main and bonus kits.

The Embellishment Bonus kit includes more coordinating flowers, some 7 Dots word stickers, some great archival board in black from 49 and Market and also some of their new die cut elements, and more!

All the colors in this kit led to a big Mixed Media kit this month including 6 items!  This is great to coordinate with the 7 Dots paper line, but it can also be used to add a pop of color to those neutral options.

The Colorburst kit also has a Bonus Chipboard option to add more interest to your layouts.

And if you enjoy making cards and mini projects the Fairy Garden Bonus kit is for you!  This kit includes 6X6 papers from 49 and Market and 7 Dots to create other projects or add to your layouts.
