Love Him

Hey everyone, today I'm sharing my first layout for April. I created it using the Toolshed kit:Colorburst from The International Scrapbook Garden. This kit is filled with papers from 7 Dots and 49 &Market.

Here is my layout:

Again, I used an older black and white photo of dh. Another one I took a few years ago, from a different photo shoot with me.

This kit is has lots of different embellishments to use.  I used items from the main kit, the bonus paper kit, the embellishment kit as well as the bonus chipboard kit. I pulled in a couple things from my stash to add as well. I added lots of texture to this layout.

Here are some close up:

There is a whole package of ephemera in the kit. I used it to layer all over my layout. I love the tag and the saying.  That frame behind the photo is a die cut from 49 & Market.

There are great stamps and stencils to create tons of texture included in the kit. I used the stencil and some black gesso to create the barbed wire texture. Then I took the stamp (which included splots and tea stain rings) and some black ink to add some random stamping.  Once it was done, I had an amazing textured background.

The kit has this wonderful 7 Gypsies tile tin in it. It was perfect behind my photo, however the package had smaller images of the tile on it. I cut out 2 of those and used them as layers behind my picture. I even managed to sneak a few small flowers in on this layout.

Here are the kits I used for this layout:

That's all I have for today, thanks for stopping by.
